What's the word for?

OK, I'm still in my critical mode. Can we all agree to fight for the preservation of one more word? It's a great little three letter word, FOR. It's pronounced just like the four letter words, four, or fore. It does not rhyme with fur, or fir, or the colloquial "fer", which when spoken makes someone sound instantly less intelligent. It does take a little more effort to open the jaw to articulate the sound, but I think it's worth the effort. I'm waiting for those academy award speeches. Who will say it? "I'd like to thank so and so FER being there for me". While I'm at it can we try to keep the "ING" thing going. I know the previous and current presidents and Ms. Palin don't bother, but can we just keep tryin... fer Pete's sake.

Two Words I'd Like to Hear More

There are two words I would like to hear more....please. Can someone please say "earth" or "world". You know, like in the songs..."What a Wonderful World", or "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World". It's not "planet". It's Earth, where WE live, we earthlings. It's our special world, Terra Firma, the place God created in six days just for US. There are billions of planets. Planets are out THERE in the galaxy. Forgive me for being so old-fashioned, and hey, I know all you television and radio people are far too cool and hip not not always use the word planet when referring to earth. Planet, planet, planet, day after day it's all I hear, "protect the planet", "best on the planet". I dare them to have a Miss Planet, a Planet Day, Mother Planet...or just be "down to planet". I'm sure its coming soon....I'm mean what on planet will they think of next!

The Biggest Loser

Have you been watching the show The Biggest Loser? I was pretty bored when I tried to watch it the first few seasons, but now I'm hooked. They finally got their hosting, formating, and trainer issues worked out and it's a good reality show. But as a person who has gained and lost a thousand pounds over a lifetime, I am very inspired and fascinated by the contestants and their processes. This season they have the super-pounder teams and those people are inspiring beyond belief. I have never seen people with more guts and humility. I am committing to lose 20 pounds while they try to lose their 100 plus. If I don't do it....shame on me. Watch it on Tues. nights.

Well apparantely I am qualified to be the vice president because Charlie "condescending" Gibson didn't know what the "Bush Doctrine" is and I did. I knew that the term has evolved over time and his definition... well, Charlie I think you have been asleep at the wheel. I love guys like Charlie Gibson because every time they speak I feel my IQ score going up ten points! Bring it on!
